WORKING Drop Shirt Jacket | Navy & Triassic Green
The Drop Shirt by WORKING could well be considered more a jacket or shirt-jacket getup.
Hailing from Book 2 and made in England, it’s cut from British wool crombie fabric and left unlined, giving the whole garment the ease of a wide shirt, with raglan sleeves and open shoulder darts finished with tip-stitching. It’s these subtle but thought-out details that put the garment in a league of its own..
The rounded nylon collar is borrowed from bomber jackets and is complemented by a fly front, concealing buttons made from cellulose acetate derived from recycled cigarette butts. A cotton drawstring tucked inside the waist lets you shape the shirt-jacket to taste: snugger, higher or somewhere else.
As with the Bog jacket, WORKING has pushed the boundaries of the dyeing process on wool, which is something you wouldn’t usually see happening but it’s becoming a signature of this experimental brand. The result is a navy wool with a contrasting drawcord and green stitching. Worn here with the WORKING Trap shirt in Dogtooth.

WORKING is a collaborative brand by William Kroll (Tender Co.) and Robert Newman (Middle Distance, Massimo Osti Studio, Stone Island and CP Company). Operating from their studios in Glasgow, Scotland, and Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, they combine their distinct approaches to design and production; exploring each other’s perspectives on fabrics, art and design history, uniform construction, and an expanded interpretation of workwear. WORKING garments are crafted in very limited quantities in England and Japan.
