Tender Co Type 931 Scout Jacket | Hadal Blue

Here we have the 931 Scout Jacket by Tender in soft, midweight cotton, with an extra long collar that can be worn up, down or buttoned halfway - a 3-in-1 if you will. The entire body is cut in one panel, crossways across the grain of the fabric and the sleeves are seamed along their tops to the shoulders, with roomy patch pockets that wrap to the sides. Its design is based on a historic Boy Scouts of America uniform jacket from the textiles collection at University of Wisconsin-Madison.

The entire jacket is made in the USA (as signified by the blue label), right down to the fabric which is American cotton woven in the USA - a first for Tender. This fabric is usually intended for blackout curtains until Tender transformed it into the Scout jacket, with the floated warp of the midweight sateen giving a soft, drapey texture. The jacket is finished with all-cotton sewing thread and hadal dyed cotton-covered metal buttons. Absolutely a wear-with-everything jacket that won’t let you down. Worn here in size 2/S over the Tender Type 457 Frock Shirt.

Tender garments have all been made in England until the brand relocated in 2025, shifting production to USA.
