1st PAT-RN Woman Modula Shirt | Tailored Stripes

€348.00

For 1st PAT-RN, everything begins with fabric and the Modula shirt is a testament to just that. Honestly it’s one of the lightest shirts we’ve come across yet and when we tried it on on that hot 30-something degree day in Paris, we were smitten (and shocked) with how silky and airy it felt - we realised it is possible to look good in the heat with a shirt like this.

The fabric is made in Lombardy, Italy and composed of a significant percentage of Lenzing TENCEL™, which is famed for its softness and breathability, along with nylon for durability, while the dark green stripes are woven in cupro (the "vegan silk”). This trio is the culmination of deep textile research carried out by Cristiano and Silvia in their quest to create the most beautiful and high quality Italian fabrics.

Now for the fit, well it’s airy and flowy yet not too baggy - just the right amount of loose fitting freedom to see you through the day. The Modula shirt has quite a contemporary feel with its dropped shoulders and loose silhouette. And we were really taken with the short cuffs, which are a unique feature, alongside the longer square hem with side splits that open up to a dramatic curved front. This is one breezy shirt for hot weather or layering under a knit with the hems peeping out.

Also available in fine stripes and crisp white cotton. While technically this is from the ‘woman’ line, men can size up.

  • Made in Italy

  • TENCEL™, nylon and cupro (custom Italian fabric)

  • Two patch pockets

  • Pointed collar

  • Italian buttons

  • Concealed button placket

  • Side slits

  • Colour: Green and white tailored stripes

  • Sizing: True to fit (AQ wears size S) but men can size up (size L fits Oisín nicely)

1ST PAT-RN is a clothing brand from the Veneto region of Italy, formed in 2012 by the ever-tasteful duo Cristiano Berto and Silvia Piccin. A brand not concerned about fashion trends, gender or themes, they create beautiful garments that are timeless, functional and wearable. This is a couple that goes granular in detail. Each item is one of deep research, controlled production and thoughtful design, inspired by military, workwear and outdoor garb. Their passion for sifting through vintage markets and collecting all types of products undoubtedly influences every single garment, yet they have a serious talent for making clothes that feel very much in the now.

1ST PAT-RN works directly with local mills in the Veneto region to design and develop exclusive fabrics in limited quantities aligned with their production needs. Everything is made in Italy, from the garment itself right down to the labels, buttons and zippers.
