Tender Co. Type 918 Two:One Butterfly Jacket | Black Seersucker
The Type 918 Two:One Butterfly Jacket marks a new chapter for Tender: the first collection entirely made in the USA since the brand’s relocation.
Unlike most Tender jackets (which are straight cut), the Two:One has shaped lapels with a large “belly” as the tailor would call it. Turn them down and they form a broad, old-fashioned sweep; turn them up and the folds make space for a double-breasted front (Two), while the lower half stays single (One).
The jacket is cut on the Tender Butterfly block, without side seams and with reversed sleeves joined along the shoulder. Inside, the jacket is lined in the same weighty fabric as its exterior, giving warmth and substance, while the sleeves are lined in smooth cotton drill. Two oversized patch pockets sit on rounded support patches, their corners reinforced, recalling the careful construction of an early British Rail greatcoat. Every detail hints at the careful thinking and quiet eccentricity that Tender has always celebrated.

Tender Co. is the creation of designer William Kroll.
Tender specialises in rare techniques to produce very unique garments often using deadstock fabrics and natural dyes. All products are made in small runs. Tender garments have all been made in England until the brand relocated in 2025, shifting production to USA. Due to the engineering and ‘slow’ ethos behind the construction, each item can differ to the next, for a truly special piece.
