This Frank Leder vest comes from the Naturalienkabinett Autumn/Winter 2025/26 collection: the cabinet of curiosities. And oh how it delivers its own rarities. Made in Germany from Loden wool, the fabric has been treated with thistles which makes it a little felty. The factory in Bavaria is one of the last wool factories to do this, which makes it a very unusual and special practice as thistles are no longer commonly used. Yet the pocket is where it’s all happening. With a red stripe and large criss-cross stitching, a vintage bank note has been sewn into the opening. These notes have been collected by Frank and are a little something passed on from the designer to the wearer. It’s certainly one to tempt the pickpockets - give them a run for their money…
