1st PAT-RN Woman Theorem Blazer | Grain Donegal

€880.00

Oh how we can’t get enough of this jacket from 1st PAT-RN. It’s a bit like a smart blazer that’s not too smart, in an oversized shape that’s not oversized at all. Have we explained it well?

The Theorem reinterprets the traditional men’s double-breasted jacket for women. We would call it deconstructed because it isn’t too structured or stuffy on the shoulders but it holds its shape very well. Only 16 exist worldwide.

It has a little more volume through the body and particular attention was given to the shape of the peak lapel: its soft, balanced curve lightens the construction and introduces a subtle feminine note without changing the strong character of the double-breasted jacket.

The exclusive yarn-dyed fabric is produced in Veneto and made with traditional double-twisted wool yarns, featuring alternating wefts of recycled cotton and wool with Donegal neps. Woven in an Oxford structure, it reinterprets the distinctive character of classic Donegal textiles through a more contemporary, workwear-influenced construction, with a rich texture and refined hand. We’re all about that fleck.

The blazer features the brand’s characteristic slanted welt pocket together with two flap patch pockets. The buttons are made from Galalith and produced entirely in Italy. Inside is semi-lined in exclusive fabrics developed in Italy and chosen for their comfort and functionality. The sleeves are lined in a beautiful striped natural Lyocell blend and the cuffs can be unbuttoned and turned back slightly to reveal a bit of stripe. The other lining is a Cupro Bemberg™ and pure cotton (the exclusive yarn by Asahi Kasei).

1ST PAT-RN is a clothing brand from the Veneto region of Italy, formed in 2012 by the ever-tasteful duo Cristiano Berto and Silvia Piccin. A brand not concerned about fashion trends, gender or themes, they create beautiful garments that are timeless, functional and wearable. This is a couple that goes granular in detail. Each item is one of deep research, controlled production and thoughtful design, inspired by military, workwear and outdoor garb. Their passion for sifting through vintage markets and collecting all types of products undoubtedly influences every single garment, yet they have a serious talent for making clothes that feel very much in the now.

1ST PAT-RN works directly with local mills in the Veneto region to design and develop exclusive fabrics in limited quantities aligned with their production needs. Everything is made in Italy, from the garment itself right down to the labels, buttons and zippers.
