1st PAT-RN Boston Shirt | White
Collars are a feature we are undeniably obsessed with here at Nubes, so it should come as no surprise that we were instantly drawn to the 1st PAT-RN Boston shirt, with its very own round collar.
The rounded collar adds something unique to this white shirt. Cristiano from 1st PAT-RN likes to wear it slightly open, “sometimes even with a tie, in a relaxed way, somewhere between an academic attitude and an artist’s approach”. And our Oisín likes to wear his buttoned up, even layered under a cardigan or crew neck jumper to draw attention to its softer edges.
Next up it’s the fabric: a beautiful high-quality Japanese fabric, known in Italy since the 1980s as “pelle d’uovo” (eggshell). This fabric is so smooth, with a subtle crispness that offers structure without stiffness. It’s the perfect material for the relaxed proportions and soft volume of this shirt allowing it to move naturally with the body. And it works perfectly with the curved sides of the hem, almost wave-like.
The Boston shirt is finished with galalith buttons and a single chest pocket. Precise construction on this garment, as expected.
Also available in fine stripes.
Made in Italy
100% pelleovo cotton (custom Japanese fabric)
Round collar
Italian Galalith buttons
Single chest pocket
Colour: Green and white tailored stripes
Sizing: True to fit (Oisín wears size M)

1ST PAT-RN is a clothing brand from the Veneto region of Italy, formed in 2012 by the ever-tasteful duo Cristiano Berto and Silvia Piccin. A brand not concerned about fashion trends, gender or themes, they create beautiful garments that are timeless, functional and wearable. This is a couple that goes granular in detail. Each item is one of deep research, controlled production and thoughtful design, inspired by military, workwear and outdoor garb. Their passion for sifting through vintage markets and collecting all types of products undoubtedly influences every single garment, yet they have a serious talent for making clothes that feel very much in the now.
1ST PAT-RN works directly with local mills in the Veneto region to design and develop exclusive fabrics in limited quantities aligned with their production needs. Everything is made in Italy, from the garment itself right down to the labels, buttons and zippers.
