Tender Co. 468 Flipped Collar Shirt | Red
The long-sleeved Type 468 Flipped Collar Shirt combines different elements of previous Tender shirts. The front placket is reversed like the Butterfly Shirt with two large centre pockets at a comfortable hand height; while the back is shaped with a single large asymmetrical pleat like the Millwheel shirt. The collar is cut from the same pattern but is flipped upside down and the long side (not the short side) is sewn into the neck of the shirt. The collar grows directly from the placket then slopes back to a seamed edge - whereas the point collar would normally sit just above the front edge of the shirt. There’s an extra button and buttonhole in the centre so the collar can be worn close to the neck. This 468 Tender shirt is crafted from Airbag Cambric, a split-face fabric, double woven and crossing faces in a regular grid pattern, forming pockets in the cloth - the same technique used for car airbags. In Royal Mail Red, it’s part of the ‘Leaving Town’ collection which signifies Tender’s move to the US and this being the last full collection to be made in England.

Tender Co. is the creation of designer William Kroll.
Tender specialises in rare techniques to produce very unique garments often using deadstock fabrics and natural dyes. All products are made in England in small runs. Due to the engineering and ‘slow’ ethos behind the construction, each item can differ to the next, for a truly special piece.
